I was looking through my photographs the other night and discovered I've photographed several windows.

Yesterday, the sun came out...

Spring in Port McNeill has been cold and damp.

Yesterday was a nice treat. The clouds parted, the sun warmed the afternoon making a perfect opportunity to see what is growing in the garden.

Make a wish...  mine is for a warmer, sunnier June!

back yard visitors

We have a pond in our garden and it attracts many creatures... cats, racoons (thank goodness not lately!) and birds.

Though these photographs were taken last spring, we still have their cousins visit the garden.

Spring!

My apologies, it's been far too long since my last post.  It's spring time and that keeps me very busy in the garden. So, I took my camera into the garden in the middle of April, between rain showers.

I really liked the graceful way a fern frond gently unfurls, stretching to reach for the warmth from the sun through dapple shade.

The water drops on the day lily leaves looked like little gems in the afternoon light.
